Patulous — from the Latin, wide-open. I deliberately impose a horizon on the frame, an act that pushes these studio forms toward something expansive while remaining constructed and controlled. They are prepared landscapes — not found but built through the same systematic attention to light and form, with a boundary drawn where open space might otherwise be.
